Our Seabird 37 cutter is the modern answer to a traditionalist's dream, combining today's materials and performance flair with yesterday's elegance and attention to detail. This is a boat that represents the ultimate to many people….to those who appreciate sea-going comfort, who enjoy stability and a fine turn of speed, and who are knowledgeable enough to recognize real value when they see it. Our Seabird's long waterline length, moderate beam, long keel, easily handled sails, and powerful diesel engine make for smooth relaxed comfortable passage making in all weather conditions.

We welcome you aboard into a spacious covered centre cockpit. Two steps down take you into the teak lined cabins, with roomy berths, ample lockers, dinette with large windows, central heating, and well equipped galley. Sleeping accommodation is one double and two large single berths, comfortably accommodating two couples, or three singles. The skipper has his own separate quarters in the aft cabin.

This is your home for a voyage of exploration and adventure. Take a turn at the wheel and in the galley. Learn how to set the sails, navigate a course, and understand the charts, tides and weather. Enjoy a learning adventure in this super natural environment in the comfort of our well appointed vessel.

John Roper

The Skipper, John Roper, is a retired professional engineer who was first certified as a Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) Instructor in 1985 at the Jibset Sailing School in Vancouver. Recertified in 2006, he is now in his 23rd year of teaching safe sailing and cruising the coast of southwest B.C. John's professional training and experience has enhanced his natural abilities as a leader, educator, communicator and sailor. He is currently a television host with Coast Cable 11 for a series of video programs on marine subjects.
